Processing of orders
Credit cards are debited before items are shipped or before services are activated by K&B Sewing Machines. When booking a workshop or class through our website, you will not be eligible for a refund. Please check all dates before booking. We will however offer you to promote on our social media and we will do our best to find a replacement to refund you minus transaction and administrative fees.
Limitation of Liability
Except as specifically stated on this site, K&B Sewing Machines or other representatives will be liable for damages arising out of or in connection with the use of this site. This is a comprehensive limitation of liability that applies to all damages of any kind, including (without limitation) compensatory, direct, indirect or consequential damages, loss of data, income or profit, loss of or damage to property and claims of third parties.
Illegal Acts
It is a crime to use a false name or a known invalid credit card to order. Anyone caught wilfully entering an erroneous or fictitious order will be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. We track the electronic fingerprints of every order placed on this website to enable us and all legitimate crime prevention and prosecution authorities to trace individual users engaging in criminal activities on our website.
Changes in Terms
K&B Sewing Machines reserves the right to modify these terms at any time without prior notice. Any modification of these terms will be deemed to be effective from the date and time of posting on the K&B Sewing Machines website.
Shipping of goods
You, the customer are responsible for the shipping of machines back to us and to cover any relevant costs which incur, including but not limited to postal costs, insurance and re-stocking costs which incur. We do not take any responsibility for loss, damage or theft of property at this time.
Workshop & Class Booking Terms and Conditions
By booking a workshop or class with us, you agree to the following terms:
Full Payment Required: Payment is required in full with a deposit at the time of booking. This is necessary to secure your place and to cover the cost of hiring tutors and materials in advance. If you have not paid in full and have booked a course you cannot attend, we will ask for the remaining balance.
Non-Refundable Policy: All workshop and class bookings are non-refundable. Please check the date carefully before booking. We are unable to offer refunds for any reason, including illness or change of plans.
Transferring Your Place: If you are unable to attend, you are welcome to find someone to take your place. You must notify us in advance with the full name and contact details of the replacement participant. We cannot accept replacements on the day without prior notice.
Advertising Open Spaces: You may advertise your available spot in the K&B Sewing Group on Facebook. This is a great way to find a replacement if needed.
Participant Details: The person attending must be registered with us. If you are booking on someone else's behalf, please provide their full name and contact information at the time of booking.
Right to Cancel: We reserve the right to cancel or reschedule a workshop if necessary. In this rare case, you will be offered an alternative date or a full refund from K&B.
Sewing Machine servicing & repairs
This policy applies to all machines currently with us, as well as all future servicing and repairs.
Due to limited workshop space, all serviced or repaired machines must be collected within 3 months of us notifying you that they are ready.
Unfortunately, we are not a storage facility, and we currently have machines that have been left with us for over three years, despite repeated attempts to contact their owners. We always make every effort to contact customers by both telephone and email, so we kindly ask that you keep an eye on your inbox, including your junk or spam folder, as our messages can occasionally end up there.
Uncollected machines take up valuable workshop space and, as a business, we also incur commercial waste disposal costs for machines that are ultimately abandoned.
If a machine remains uncollected 3 months after we have notified you, and no alternative arrangements have been agreed, we reserve the right to dispose of the machine responsibly or dismantle it for spare parts to help keep other machines in service.
If you are unable to collect your machine within the 3-month period, please contact us as soon as possible so that we can discuss alternative arrangements.
